Nurse Practitioner – Dallas, TX

Jane Wu joined Sleep Medicine Associates of Texas in April 2017 as an energetic, compassionate clinician with over 25 years of combined nursing and advanced nurse practitioner experience in various medical settings, including ER, Cardiopulmonary & Neurology, Heart & Vascular, and Sleep Medicine.

Jane is an Advanced Practice Nurse who holds a master’s degree in nursing and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in Texas. Before moving to the DFW area, she lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she also received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Augustana College (now Augustana University). While in Sioux Falls, she worked for Sanford Health and Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center. After she moved to the DFW area, she worked for Dallas VA and Dallas Sleep Medicine.

Additionally, Jane is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Other professional memberships include the Texas & North Texas Nurse Practitioner Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

Jane has a keen interest in Sleep Medicine, and she has attended numerous national sleep medicine conferences to advance her knowledge of updated evidence-based sleep medicine practices. Jane believes that “sleep is the best medicine” by offering clinical expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various sleep disorders, most commonly Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Chronic Insomnia, Hypersomnia (excessive daytime sleepiness), Narcolepsy, and Restless Legs Syndrome.
